On August 15, 2024, Troop B CCU arrested Jayden I. Johnston, age 19, of Champlain, NY, for eight counts of Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child and one count of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child.

An investigation determined he went on the dark web and accessed images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) sending CSAM via SnapChat in support of the ICAC Case and CyberTips received.

Johnston was arraigned in the Town of Champlain Court, and was ordered pre-trial release to reappear on September 19, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
