Regulations for compensation of damages caused to life or health of servicemen during RA defense to apply to servicemen of State Security Service

The necessity for the adoption of the initiative arose as a result of the separation of the RA State Security Service from the National Security Service and is mainly of a technical nature. This was stated by the Deputy Head of the RA State Security Service Grigory Arakelyan, who presented the draft law on making an addendum to the law on Compensation for Damages Caused to the Life or Health of Servicemen during the Defense of the Republic of Armenia in the first reading in the National Assembly on October 1.

According to the draft, it is proposed to make an appropriate addendum to the law so that the compensation regulations for damages caused to the life or health of servicemen during the defense of the Republic of Armenia will also be extended to the servicemen of the RA State Security Service.

Kristine Poghosyan presented the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security on the draft.
