We've got a busy month ahead with events and programs for all ages and interests. Don't miss out! Mark your calendars and enjoy fall in League City.

Empty the Shelters Free Pet Adoptions Now Through October 15

League City Animal Care is currently 40% over capacity and in dire need of adopters and fosters. BISSELL Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters is a national adoption event that helps place more animals in homes by bringing awareness to the many amazing shelter pets waiting to meet you! All adoption fees are waived through October 15. View adoptable pets.

Harvest Festival, October 12

Join us at Harvest Fest from 10 am to 2 pm at League Park and enjoy activities for the entire family! Artisan and craft vendors for holiday shopping, pumpkin carving/decorating, costume contest, crafts, games, hayrides, food trucks, and more! Get more info.

Plant Swap & Shop, October 12

League City is proud to partner with the Bay Area Plant Exchange to host the biannual Plant Swap & Shop from 8 a.m. to noon at the Civic Center parking lot (400 West Walker Street). Bring plants you want to swap with others and a wagon for transporting. There will also be vendors selling plants and other garden items, and a "plant orphan" table full of free donated plants. Nonprofit booths with experts will be there to answer your questions.

Concert in the Park, October 20

Come enjoy a free concert in League Park from 1 to 5 p.m. featuring the Southern Shanks Band. Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy the show!

Music in the Historic District, October 25

Come out for an evening of FREE live music under the oaks from 7-10 pm at League Park, in partnership with the League City Folk Association. This family friendly event will feature more than a dozen artists. Bring a chair, food, and friends!

Helen Halloween, October 31

Have a spooktacular Halloween by spending it at Helen Hall Library! Families can stop by the library from noon to 2 p.m. for fun, safe trick-or-treating, Halloween- themed activities, and a Halloween photo booth to commemorate the day. All ages are welcome.

Day of Dog & Cat, November 3

Come out to League City Animal Care from 5 to 8 p.m. for an evening honoring beloved pets who have passed. Bring a photo to honor a lost pet at the Dia de los Muertos ofrenda, shop from pet friendly vendors, enjoy the delicious food truck featuring Mexican dishes, and enjoy traditional Mexican music. There will be fun activities the whole family will enjoy, including a pet costume contest and photo spot for you to snag pics of you and your pet.
