The locally produced short sci-fi drama "En Memoria" has earned a prestigious spot in the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it will be featured in the Short Film Program 2 from Jan. 23 to Feb. 2, 2025.
The short film, written and produced by Roberto Fatal and Ali Meyers-Ohki, tells the story of a mother navigating a dystopian future as she struggles to complete her daughter's quinceañera dress.
The film was produced with support from the City of Sacramento's Film and Media Office, funded through the City's Innovation and Growth Fund. The project received a $10,000 production grant in May 2023 and a $5,000 post-production grant in February 2024.
