Sikkim launches the National Programme for Health Care of Elderly (NPHCE) initiative aimed at catering to the needs of senior citizens in the state. The key initiatives under the programme include the establishment of a 20-bed geriatric ward at STNM Hospital in Gangtok, and 10-bed wards in all the district hospitals, specialised outpatient departments (OPDs), and the distribution of mobility aids like spectacles, hearing aids, and wheelchairs. Industrial Policy & Business Regulations 

Andhra Pradesh approves the State Maritime Policy 2024 with a target to achieve at least one port ranked among the top 20 global ports and to attain 20 percent of total cargo handled by all Indian Ports by 2047. The policy targets to maintain an optimal port utilisation rate of 75 percent by 2030 and train 5,000 professionals by 2028 through the establishment of Maritime University and Skill Development Centres across the State.
