Nashville Fire Department's BLAZE Mentoring Program Hosts Back to School Giveaway

Nashville Fire Department's BLAZE Mentoring Program and the Nashville Fire Department will host a Back-to-School Giveaway event this Friday, July 26 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. at the NFD Headquarters.

This event is open to the public, and we invite youth and families to join us for a few hours of fun, excitement, and community engagement.

As result of the generous support of our main sponsor, First Responders Children's Foundation, we will be giving away free backpacks filled with school supplies to help our youth start the school year off right.

Our local Target stores have provided items for students to take as giveaways, and supplied snacks for the event. Chick-Fil-A Nashville (Church Street) is providing food for attendees, and Box 55 is providing drinks to keep everyone hydrated throughout the event.

Our sponsors' commitment to assisting with community outreach and engagement has made this event possible, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for their unwavering support.

This event is a fantastic opportunity for families and young students to gather, connect, and celebrate the upcoming school year. Attendees can look forward to special appearances by the Tennessee Titans' T-Rac and the Nashville Soccer Club's Tempo. They will be providing entertainment and photo opportunities for children and families alike.

Please note that children must be present to receive a backpack. This ensures that our resources are directed to the students who need them most. We encourage families to arrive early, as supplies are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Join us for a memorable afternoon as we wrap up the summer and kick off a successful school year. We look forward to seeing you there!
