Batavia Road Road Closing Begins July 15

Batavia Road between Warrenville Road and Manning Avenue will be closed to traffic starting at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 15 for up to two weeks. This will impact access to driveways/properties along that route. The contractor will begin removing the existing pavement surface and preparing the road for paving immediately.

  • During the road closure, residents, employees, and business customers may park on streets connecting to Batavia Road.
  • Concrete sidewalk work will be completed prior to the road closure to ensure pedestrian access is provided to residents and businesses.
  • Engineering Resource Associates (ERA) and City staff will work with the post office to ensure as few mail delivery disruptions as possible, but delivery may not take place every day.
  • Garbage and recycling pickup will be scheduled for 6:00 a.m. on Friday mornings during the closure.
  • Other types of large deliveries should be planned outside of the road closure dates, if possible.
  • If you have any special accessibility concerns for your home or business that should be considered during the closure, please contact us as soon as possible so we can understand your needs and work with the contractor to address them.

We will be available throughout this project to answer questions or address any concerns: Andy Johnson, ERA resident engineer at (630) 272-4196 or by email at: [email protected], or City of Warrenville Capital Maintenance Superintendent Jamie Clark at (630) 836-3041 or by email at: [email protected].
