State Police arrest a Corning resident for Burglary 3rd

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, at approximately 10:20 a.m., the New York State Police in Painted Post responded to Crystal Cleaners, located at 508 E High Street in the village of Riverside, for a burglary in which an unknown male subject who stole cash from the register.

On July 11, 2024, the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested John J. Pierson Jr., age 57, of Corning, NY, for Burglary 3rd (D Felony) and Petit Larceny (A Misdemeanor). Pierson was arraigned at Steuben County Centralized Arraignment Part Court and released.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Corning Police Department.
