Answer the Mail: Chairman Bost Pushes Biden-Harris Admin for Answers on Range of Issues for Veterans and their Families

Today, House Committee on Veterans' Affairs Chairman Mike Bost (R-Ill.), released the following statement in response to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) failing to answer nearly 30 letter requests made by the Committee, including over 50 additional requests-for-information, on various issues pertaining to the delivery of care, benefits, and services at VA:

"Veterans and taxpayers expect transparency they can trust from VA no matter who is in the White House. This Congress, House Republicans have repeatedly pushed the Biden-Harris administration on a range of issues that have been brought to our attention from regular people outside the beltway, including veterans, their survivors, and VA's dedicated workforce," said Chairman Bost. "As Chairman, I expect the Biden-Harris administration to answer these requests in a timely manner. Especially on issues pertaining to allegations of sexual harassment, misconduct, VA's budget shortfall, education benefits, veteran homelessness, healthcare access, PACT Act implementation, and more. Simply put, VA must do better."
