Tuskegee University Students Safe, None Injured

The safety and security of Tuskegee University students is an ongoing priority. The university provides a variety of people and systems in place for student safety on and off campus.

The university received news of an off-campus, officer-involved shooting at The Magnolia at Auburn on Monday night. None of our students were involved or injured.

The university is working with law enforcement to provide support during the investigation. The university will coordinate feedback sessions for off-campus students this week to remind them of safety measures in place and steps they can take to monitor their safety and surroundings.

Tuskegee will also provide additional counseling for all students.

The university contracts with the Magnolia to provide housing for more than 200 students for primarily upperclassmen in the complex.
