Voxeurop editor leaves big AEJ vacancy

It is with regret that the AEJ International must announce the resignation of our Brussels Representative Gian-Paolo Accardo, co-founder and editor-in-chief of Voxeurop.eu.

He writes: "As you may have noticed, I have been able to do far less than expected as the AEJ's representative in Brussels, mainly due to a lack of time on my part.

"I've managed to do the bare minimum to keep the AEJ informed about the discussions between freedom of information organisations in the debate on the Media Freedom Act, but that's about it….

"Since things are unlikely to change in this regard in the foreseeable future, I see no point in taking up a job that many would do much better than I have or could do….I thank you for the trust you have placed in me in this role; apologies if I have not lived up to expectations, and wish the AEJ all the best as it continues its critical mission."
