Investigation into Fatal Crash at 11300 North Freeway

July 23, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal crash that occurred at 11300 North Freeway (North Interstate Highway 45) about 11:30 p.m. on Monday (July 22).

The identity of the deceased male, 51, is pending notification to family members by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant D. Rose and Officer L. Fenoglio reported:

The driver of a white Dodge Ram pickup truck was traveling southbound on the North Freeway, just south of the Beltway when he struck a pedestrian walking on the main lanes of the freeway. The pedestrian (victim) was pronounced deceased at the scene by responding Houston Fire Department paramedics.

The male driver, 42, and two passengers in the Dodge remained at the scene.. The driver was determined not to be impaired and was questioned and released. No other persons were injured.

The investigation is continuing.
