New Chief Officers Announced
Punta Gorda, FL (Nov. 7 , 2024) - Gary E. Duncan, C.M., Punta Gorda Airport's Chief Operating Officer (COO), announced his retirement effective at the end of September 2024. CEO James W. Parish, P.E. recently announced that Raymond A. Laroche, A.A.E, will take over as the new COO upon Duncan's retirement. Parish also announced that Brett White, Director of Projects, will be promoted to Chief Development Officer, and Kaley R. Miller, Director of Marketing & Communications, will be promoted to Chief Marketing Officer.
"We greatly appreciate Gary's last three years of leadership and contributions to PGD, and we wish him the best in his retirement," said Parish. "Gary's dedication to improving operational efficiencies and processes has poised PGD for continued growth and success.
In his three years at PGD, Duncan has led efforts to revamp PGD's noise concerns process, rental car concession agreement, minimum standards, rules & regulations, ground transportation policy, and rates & charges - all necessary groundwork to ensure PGD's continued success. Duncan has also played an important role in opening and operating the PGD Air Center, implementing improvements to the Bailey Terminal, and keeping countless airfield and facilities projects moving before and after Hurricane Ian.
Duncan's successor, Raymond Laroche, has worked at PGD since 2013 in various positions, most recently serving as the Director of Operations & Maintenance since 2022. As COO, Laroche will oversee the four areas: Safety & Security, Airside Operations, PGD Air Center (FBO) and Bailey Terminal Operations.
The Airport's Chief Development Officer, Brett White, has served as Director of Projects at PGD since 2022. White will now oversee the Maintenance department as well the Airport's Capital Improvement Program, including all renovations, development and construction projects under the Charlotte County Airport Authority's (CCAA) purview.
Kaley Miller, PGD's Chief Marketing Officer, has managed CCAA's communications, marketing, advertising, community and media relations since 2018. In the year ahead, Kaley will restructure her team to increase air service development efforts, take over terminal advertising and roll out a new integrated marketing partnership program.
Parish also announced that Chad Rosenstein's title of Chief Administrative Officer will change to Chief Finance Officer. CFO Rosenstein, who joined PGD's management team in 2022, will continue to oversee four areas: Finance, Properties & Contracts, Information Technology and Human Resources. With his wealth of experience in aviation, finance and strategic planning, Chad will oversee the Authority's strategy to ensure fiscal health and financial sustainability.
"These additional changes to leadership structure align with our mission of serving the community and business through aviation," said Parish. "We're adapting to the needs of the community by providing a safe, efficient and convenient hub for economic activity in the region. I am confident we are putting the right leadership in place to build and strengthen our team as we forge ahead."
