City Offices Closed Monday in Observance of Veterans Day
SAVANNAH - City of Savannah administrative offices and facilities will be closed Monday, Nov. 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Emergency services will remain open.
Sanitation services will be affected by the holiday closure. Residents can expect the following changes to their schedule:
Residential garbage collection and yard waste collection services will not run on Monday, Nov. 11. Collection services will resume on Tuesday, Nov. 12 on a one-day delayed schedule. Street sweeping operations will not run on Monday, Nov. 11, and will resume operations on Tuesday. Nov. 12. Per the normal recycling schedule, there will be no recycling service for the week of Nov. 11.
Dean Forest Road Landfill and Bacon Park Transfer Station will both be closed on Monday, Nov. 11. Dean Forest Landfill will reopen Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 7 a.m. Bacon Park Transfer Station will reopen Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. for regular operation.
Storm debris removal operations continue citywide following impacts from Hurricane Helene. Operations will continue as normal on Monday, Nov. 11.
Residents are encouraged to consult the Sanitation schedule packets disseminated each year and make note of what day sanitation collection will happen on their route.
