Puerto Rico's Energy Support Incentive 2.0 Supports Energy Resilience

Puerto Rico's Energy Support Incentive 2.0 is a program to support small and medium-sized businesses that perform critical functions (community lifelines) in the event of a natural disaster, as described by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Qualifying companies could receive up to 60 percent of the total cost for projects that include the deployment of photovoltaic systems, batteries, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles (up to a maximum of $50,000 of project costs).

This grant program is funded by a $30 million grant awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program.
