Brezna, Students to Present Studio Recital Monday

Dr. Lenena Brezna of Lee University's School of Music will present a Studio Recital on Monday, Nov. 18, at 7:30 p.m., featuring the vocal performances of her students. The event will take place in Squires Recital Hall, which is located in the Humanities Center on Paul Conn Parkway.

"This is a very talented group of students, with many singing at a very high level, and the recital is sure to please a wide range of listeners," said Brezna, associate professor of voice at Lee.

The program will feature various classical and musical theater pieces, including "On My Own" from Les Misérables and "Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Israel" from Elijah, Op. 70, as well as more modern pieces, such as "Evermore" from Beauty and the Beast, among others.

In addition to her teaching, Brezna is an acclaimed performer in opera, solo, and concert settings. She began teaching in Lee's School of Music in 2014, but previously taught music appreciation as an adjunct instructor at the University of Memphis, where she earned her Doctor of Musical Arts. She was also an adjunct voice instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College and has taught voice and piano privately to students of all ages.

This event is free, non-ticketed, and open to the public. Livestream viewing will be available at leeu.live.
