Bain & Company names Tamar Dane Dor-Ner Americas Regional Managing Partner

BOSTON-July 9, 2024- Bain & Company announced today it has appointed Tamar Dane Dor-Ner as its Americas Regional Managing Partner. In this role, Tamar will lead the strategy, talent, and operations for Bain's 22 offices across North and South America.

"Tamar is widely recognized as an inspirational leader across Bain's clients and teams," said Christophe De Vusser, Bain's Worldwide Managing Partner. "She is trusted by our retail and private equity clients for her expertise, judgment, and consistent delivery of both top- and bottom-line impact. And she is celebrated by our teams for her commitment to coaching and mentoring. She has a broad and ambitious agenda-reinforcing and expanding the firm's long-held differentiation when it comes to collaboration and realization of our clients' full potential while supercharging recent momentum in technology broadly, and generative AI specifically."

Tamar has a 25-year track record of firm leadership and results generation with Bain's Retail and Private Equity clients. She most recently served as the Managing Partner of Bain & Company's Boston headquarters, managing talent and operations for the firm's largest office over a period of tremendous growth and external disruption. She has also served on the firm's Board of Directors as Chair of the subcommittee on Risk, where she has been central to the firm's navigation of macro and geopolitical trends and the design and implementation of its client acceptance policies.

Over the past two decades, Tamar founded Bain's Brand Positioning & Strategy group and led Bain's Private Equity Retail investing in the Americas while also conducting hundreds of diligence efforts focusing on targets in Retail and Consumer Products. She has led several long-standing relationships with corporate retail clients, in which she has supported both their organic growth strategies and their M&A agendas. She has been particularly focused on the generation of new-to-world customer insights and their translation into competitive advantage and profitable brand, category, and pricing tactics.

"I am thrilled to have another opportunity to serve this partnership and our clients," said Tamar. "I owe a great personal debt to this firm, and I am honored to be able to continue to pay it forward."

Tamar is a recipient of Bain's Bright-Dix Award, an annual, internal award that recognizes excellence in developing people. She has previously worked in Bain's New York, San Francisco, and Stockholm offices; and she is currently based in Boston, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
