Carella Park – wooden playround removal Howrah

Work will begin this week to remove the wooden playground at Carella Park Howrah. The wooden park was closed earlier this year following the discovery of wood rot at the base of some play equipment.

The other playground at the Carella Park will remain open.

A range of safety inspections and feasibility assessments were carried out on the wooden playground to determine if the park equipment could be repaired and restored. The outcome of these reports indicate that the park will need to be fully remodeled to comply with safety standards.
