Washington, D.C. - After months of negotiations and the threat of a subpoena, former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki will appear before the committee for a transcribed interview on July 26th as a part of the committee's ongoing investigation into the Biden administration's disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan.

"Under threat of a congressional subpoena, Jen Psaki has agreed to testify before the committee," stated Chairman McCaul. "Ms. Psaki was charged with communicating to the public the details of the catastrophic withdrawal from Afghanistan. She has a responsibility to the American public, Gold Star families, and our servicemembers to detail what took place during the withdrawal, why the message from the White House was so starkly different than the situation on the ground, and what information she was being given for her public press briefings during the emergency evacuation."
