MPD Arrests Suspect in an Armed Robbery

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrest of a suspect involved in an armed robbery that occurred in Northwest.

On Monday, September 2, 2024, at approximately 9:56 p.m., two suspects approached the victim in the Unit block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. One of the suspects brandished a firearm and demanded the victim's property. The victim complied and the suspects then stole the victim's property before fleeing the scene.

On Wednesday, October 2, 2024, as a result of detectives' investigation, a 12-year-old juvenile of Northwest, D.C., was arrested and charged with Robbery (Gun).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia
