MPD Investigating Northeast Homicide

The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting in Northeast.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at approximately 1:03 p.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue, Northeast. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female inside a vehicle, unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded to the scene. After all lifesaving efforts failed, the female was pronounced dead.

The decedent has not yet been identified.

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
