Grants to Protect Water Quality Are Available

The Sacramento County Department of Water Resources (DWR) is pleased to offer grants to support school or community projects that protect or improve local creeks and rivers within the unincorporated areas of Sacramento County. Eligible recipients will receive up to $2,500 for their project.

DWR has awarded grant projects for more than 20 years including trash clean-up events, nature-friendly landscapes, field trips to learn about Sacramento's watershed, water quality studies, and the development of outreach materials that educate the community about pollution prevention.

The deadline to apply is October 15, 2024, and the grant application process is simple so applicants can submit their project proposals with ease.
