A ribbon-cutting celebration was held on Aug. 8, 2024, that included state, county and city officials at a new residential community, Berkeley Landing on Broadway Avenue in Riviera Beach. This affordable housing project was the result of a public-private partnership that included over $1 million in funding approved by the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. In addition to the 110 affordable units, the development includes two market-rate live/work spaces.

"At the end of the day," stated Commissioner Mack Bernard, "110 families will have newly constructed affordable homes, and we need to continue to facilitate these partnerships to increase our housing inventory." These one, two, and three-bedroom units provide onsite amenities, including a fitness center, dog park and playground. "The county continues to attract new companies, increasing the need for affordable workforce housing for our current and new residents," said Palm Beach County Administrator Verdenia C. Baker.

Berkeley Landing has all the units occupied. For more information on this property, or other new units completed or coming online soon, please visit theCountywide Housing Dashboard.
