Northern Michigan University Alumni Relations will host a Northern Now digital event for alumni and friends that features a virtual cooking segment with students in NMU's hospitality leadership program, under the guidance of instructor/chef and 2010 alumna Alden MacDonald. The segment will be available at 7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 13.
Students will prepare dishes that represent them as culinarians, showcasing skills they've learned throughout their educational journey at Northern. They will be cooking inside the state-of-the-art kitchen in the Northern Center - the home for the NMU hospitality leadership program - and guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at the facility virtually.
Questions will be taken live during the event. The event is free and registration is required here to obtain a link to the live stream. NMU Alumni Relations can be contacted at [email protected].
Northern Now is a digital event series that provides a behind-the-scenes look at NMU students, departments, athletics and more on campus with exclusive tours, interviews, and interactive events.
