A number of Covington's practice groups have benefitted from hires in London in recent months, including the arrivals of David Berman (Financial Services), Adrian Chiodo, Lyndsey Laverack and Jade Williams-Adedeji (Private Equity), Sonia Campbell (Policyholder Disputes), and Claudia Berg (EU Competition).
Catherine Dargan, chair of Covington's Corporate Practice, commented: "London is one of our key markets where we have been seeking to deepen our bench of experienced partners focused on M&A and securities and capital markets. Following the arrivals of Adrian Chiodo, Lyndsey Laverack and Jade Williams-Adedeji earlier this year, Phil's many years of experience at the intersection of M&A, capital markets and private equity will further bolster our practice and our ability to assist our clients with some of their most complex global transactions."
Phil added: "Covington offers a fantastic platform for my practice - the firm's international reach, deep expertise in highly regulated areas, such as financial services, life sciences and technology, and the collegial environment that fosters collaboration all made this a compelling proposition. I am excited to be joining this growing team and look forward to contributing to its success."
Phil is a graduate of the University of Cambridge, and is admitted to practice in England and Wales. He speaks fluent Spanish and French.November 25, 2024
