Finalists Set for SWOSU Homecoming Royalty, Crowning at Halftime

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) has announced the finalists for the 2024 Homecoming King and Queen. These finalists were selected through an online student vote and will soon face interviews with a panel of students, faculty, and administrators. The chosen King and Queen will be crowned during the SWOSU Homecoming football game against Southeastern Oklahoma State University, which kicks off at 2 p.m. at Milam Stadium.

The finalists for Homecoming Queen include Audrey Boyd, sponsored by Sigma Phi Lambda. Boyd is from Yukon, Oklahoma, and is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Joining her is Carlie McKinnon, representing SWOSU Residence Life and Housing. McKinnon, an Elementary Education major, hails from Elk City. Also from Elk City is finalist Bella Butcher, majoring in Health Science, who is sponsored by Baptist Collegiate Ministries.

The Homecoming King finalists include Landry Freeman, representing the Student Government Association. Freeman, a Biology major, is from Marlow, Oklahoma. Jaxson Billingsley, from Comanche, is a Health and Physical Education major sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Lastly, John David Elam, an Accounting and Finance major from Shattuck, represents the Baptist Collegiate Ministries.

These finalists will participate in the SWOSU Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. before the winners are crowned during halftime at the football game.
