WHEELING, W.Va., Dec. 2 - Wheeling University students and employees will perform holiday classics during a Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 5, in the Chapel of Mary and Joseph.
Under the direction of Bob Troeger, director of Music Ministry, students and employees will offer musical performances, songs and Christmas poetry at the concert which begins at 7 p.m.
Two students, Darrius Mason and Mallory Bozovich, are helping to plan the concert. Troeger said both, along with other students, are expected to showcase their musical talents that evening as well.
"We invite members of the University and the greater Wheeling community to join us. In addition to the individual performance, we plan to have everyone in attendance join us to sing Christmas carols," Troeger said.
Following the concert, everyone will be invited out to the CET circle for a tree lighting and singing of 'O Christmas Tree.' All will be invited to join in fellowship inside the Ratt for refreshments afterwards.
"It is nice to revive this long-standing tradition at the University. I hope everyone will join us for what promises to be a fun filled evening of music and fellowship" he added.
