Applications are now being accepted for the City of Seattle’s Technology Matching Fund Grants

$455,000 is available to eligible projects and programs aimed at digital equity. Applications are being accepted now through December 16, 2024

The City of Seattle's annual digital equity grant application process is now open and accepting applications from non-profits aimed at closing the digital divide and increasing digital literacy in our community! The 2025 Technology Matching Fund will provide funds of up to $45,000 to qualifying non-profit organizations and community groups in Seattle for digital equity projects. A proposed total of $455,000 has been allocated to grant awards. Core to our fund is the community match, which requires awardees to match their award with contributions from the community.

Projects should aim to increase internet access and adoption by providing:

  • Digital navigator services: Provide one-on-one or small group, just-in-time assistance
  • Digital literacy classes/workshops: Provide digital literacy skills training to new technology users
  • Devices and technical support: Provide devices and the support needed to use them effectively
  • Internet connectivity: Provide internet to low-income residents by expanding Wi-Fi or another means

The community match requirement is 25% of the funding request. Community match examples include:

  • Volunteer time
  • Staff time dedicated to the project
  • Donated professional services Cash contributions from individuals, businesses, organizations, or other non-City grant programs
  • Donated materials and supplies valued at their retail prices

Interested applicants can participate in Information Sessions hosted by the City's Digital Equity Program staff. The meetings will be held online and are open to all. Applicants can expect to learn more about the process and ask questions at this time. Links for the virtual meetings are available on our website and below. Applicants do not need to attend an Information Session to apply.

Applications will be accepted through the City's FLUXX portal, seattle.fluxx.io. Create an account to submit an optional Preliminary Application due November 13 or a Final Application due December 16. Winners will be notified in March 2025.

You may request a one-on-one session to review your preliminary application. If you have questions about the application, face barriers to applying or need technical assistance, please contact Meira Jough, by either email [email protected], or phone 206-379-0469.
