U.S. and Chilean Marines Conduct Cold-Weather Training Exercise

U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, and members of the Armada de Chile, Infanteria de Marina (Chilean Navy infantry marines) conduct a bilateral field training exercise Magallanes Region, Chile, July 22 to Aug. 2, 2024. U.S. and Chilean marines conducted training to include cold weather live fire and maneuver, mountaineering, and habitat building in order to hone fieldcraft, improve combined task force operations, and increase understanding of each other's cold weather tactics, techniques, and procedures to support a secure, free, and prosperous western hemisphere.
