SR-78/I-15 Connectors Closed Next Week, 8/28-29

SAN DIEGO - Caltrans construction crews will close State Route 78 (SR-78) to Interstate 15 (I-15) connectors next week for road work. Eastbound SR-78 to northbound I-15 and westbound SR-78 to southbound I-15 will be closed Sunday night. Southbound I-15 to eastbound and westbound SR-78 will be closed Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday night. All closures will be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

  • Southbound I-15 to eastbound SR-78 motorists may continue southbound on I-15 and exit at West Valley Parkway, turn left to the northbound I-15 onramp, continue northbound to the I-15 northbound connector to SR-78.
  • Southbound I-15 to westbound SR-78 motorists may continue southbound on I-15 and exit at West Valley Parkway, turn left to the northbound I-15 onramp, continue northbound to the I-15 northbound connector to SR-78.
  • Eastbound SR-78 to northbound I-15 motorists may continue eastbound on SR-78 , exit Centre city Parkway, proceed onto the Centre City Parkway on-ramp to westbound SR-78. Continue to the northbound I-15 connector on-ramp.
  • Eastbound SR-78 on northbound I-15 motorists may continue eastbound on SR-78 , exit at 9th Avenue, and turn left to the northbound I-15 on-ramp.

Westbound SR-78 to southbound I-15 motorists will continue westbound on SR-78 and exit at Nordahl Road, turn left to the eastbound SR-78 onramp, and continue to the southbound I-15 connectors.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other work-related reasons.
