CRA Pushing for New Farm Bill

CRA and its members continue to support passage of a Farm Bill this year. CRA's Farm Bill priorities include:

  1. Establish uniform definitions for common biobased product terminology
  2. Modernize USDA's BioPreferred Program
  3. Create NAICS codes for biobased product manufacturing
  4. Establish grants for pilot/pre-commercial phase biorefinery development

Renewable Electricity Agreement Reduces Tate & Lyle's Carbon Footprint

Tate and Lyle recently announced an agreement with Alabama Power ensuring 100% of the electricity powering its sucralose facility will come from renewable sources, cutting their carbon footprint by 20%.

ADM and Farmers Business Network® Launch Gradable Joint Venture

ADM and Farmers Business Network have launched a new company to expand the Gradable technology platform and enable producers and investors to profit from grain produced using sustainable and regenerative practices.

Originally launched in 2020, the Gradable platform tracks sustainable and regenerative agricultural practices and outcomes, making it easier for farmers to earn financial rewards.

Cargill and Global Water Challenge Expand Partnership to Address Water Challenges

Cargill and Global Water Challenge (GWC) celebrated World Water Week 2024 by announcing the expansion of their Cargill Currents partnership platform.

The renewed investment includes more than $5 million over three years and new plans to tackle water-related challenges in communities and basins across five continents.
