Officer Involved Motor Vehicle Collision

On Thursday, October 10th, around 11:47 p.m., a Syracuse Police Officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of South Clinton Street and West Washington Street while responding to a burglary in progress call. The collision was caused by a motorist operating their vehicle the wrong direction on South Clinton Street. The motorist, identified as 24-year-old Lauren Klee, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The Officer involved in the collision was transported to Upstate University Hospital with minor injuries. The Officer also had a K9 partner with him in his vehicle. The K9 did not appear to suffer any injuries. Klee declined medical attention.
