SCDOT asks public to avoid US 378 in West Columbia after truck spills cargo in roadway

​Columbia, S.C. (August 15, 2024) - The South Carolina Department of Transportation is asking the public to avoid US 378 near Meeting and State Streets in West Columbia after a truck spilled a portion of its cargo, consisting of organic material. A map can be found below.

SCDOT crews are assisting with the cleanup but drivers can expect traffic delays as cleanup efforts continue.
