Tuesday, 10 September 2024
On 4 September 2024, ITS IDEAS, an investment forecasting service and the international trading platform ITS hosted the "ITS IDEAS 2024: Global Financial Market Opportunities" conference. The event brought together legendary investor Jim Rogers, representatives from leading global banks and funds and experts from brokerage firms across Central Asia and the CIS.

The conference, held as part of Astana Finance Days in a hybrid format - combining in-person and online sessions - gathered prominent figures from the financial sector. Over seven hours, participants shared insights and expertise, discussed investment strategies, examined the workings of banks and brokers and analysed potential scenarios for the global economy and financial markets.

Renat Bekturov, Managing Director of the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC), opened the conference in Kazakhstan's capital, highlighting how ITS brings international financial instruments closer and makes them more accessible to investors.

"This is deeply rooted in AIFC's DNA. Our collaboration with ITS goes beyond a simple partnership - it's a synergy. As the first MTF company to consolidate liquidity from our region and across the entire time zone, ITS mirrors the mission of AIFC in developing Kazakhstan as a global financial hub. Liquidity is essential for growth and this is exactly what ITS delivers," Bekturov emphasised.

Throughout the conference, leading economists shared their views on global economic issues, while fund managers and analysts explored current investment ideas and trends. Key financial intermediaries also showcased the services and opportunities they provide to investors.

Jim Rogers, co-founder of the Quantum hedge fund, shared insights from his extensive investment experience, answered numerous questions and offered advice to investors. He highlighted ETFs, agricultural stocks and silver as appealing investment opportunities. "Gold was once a solid investment, but its value has fluctuated over time. Among today's accessible and reliable assets, I would especially emphasise silver," said the renowned investor. Rogers also identified nickel, a crucial component in electric vehicle production, as a promising area for investment.

The topics discussed at the conference engaged both novice investors and seasoned professionals alike. The event also offered valuable networking opportunities, allowing participants to forge professional connections and explore the investment opportunities available through ITS.

"The ITS platform brought together distinguished financial experts from Kazakhstan, Central Asia, the United States and Hong Kong. Events like these are crucial for the growth of Kazakhstan's financial market and strengthening international connections. We intend to continue hosting such conferences and look forward to welcoming our valued partners, clients and new guests who share our passion for advancing the world of investments," said Chingiz Kanapyanov, CEO of ITS.

A recording of the conference is available on the ITS YouTube channel and key insights from the speakers are shared on the ITS Telegram channel.
