DTE Energy names Yvette Johnson as vice president of Electric Sales & Marketing

DTE Energy (NYSE:DTE) today announced the promotion of a key leadership role to further the company's focus on growth and economic development. Yvette Johnson, director, Major Account Services, has been named vice president, Electric Sales & Marketing, effective July 1. In this role Johnson is responsible for developing and executing marketing and sales growth for value-add programs, including Major Accounts, Community Lighting and Joint Use Business. She is also responsible for leading the company's Economic Development and business attraction areas, along with the programs that support customers on their transition to electric vehicles and electrification.

"The Electric Sales & Marketing team is pivotal for DTE Electric customers - they support our customers and our business, while helping to support economic development in the state of Michigan," said Trevor Lauer, vice chairman and group president, DTE Energy. "Yvette has spent her entire career at DTE and has a deep understanding of our customers and how to best serve them. Johnson has been with DTE for 39 years, serving for the past nine years as director of Major Account Services where she led the team responsible for managing industrial, government and institutional, and national electric accounts. She has experienced a wide breadth of roles in her time with DTE that have been instrumental in shaping her career in the energy industry - from meter reader in her early days, to service planner and distribution engineer, and later developing in leadership roles with DTE's Energy Trading subsidiary as well as the Lighting and Joint Use teams.

Johnson holds a bachelor's and master's degree from Wayne State University and has received accreditation from the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager. An advocate for STEM education, she volunteers as a math and reading tutor for youth in the metro Detroit area. She also sits on the board of the Michigan Women's Golf Association.
