Brush Drop-Off Moved To Friday

JULY BRUSH RECYCLING DROP-OFF SCHEDULE: Due to the 4th of July holiday, Public Works will be CLOSED on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Therefore, the first Thursday brush recycling drop-off opportunity for July at Lakeway Public Works will shift to Friday, July 5, 2024 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Brush and yard waste drop off has returned to the regular first Thursday monthly schedule. Please see the brush recycling section below for more information. Call (512) 608-9000 if you have any questions.

Overview

The Public Works Department provides maintenance services for:

• City streets
• Drainage systems
• Brush recycling area

Brush Recycling

Brush and yard waste will only be accepted the first Thursday of each month. As a reminder, oak trees should only be trimmed July 1- Jan 31.

The City of Lakeway Public Works Facility will accept yard waste from Lakeway residents on the first Thursday of every month from 7 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Residents and property owners may dispose of one pickup truck load of yard waste or up to one 8' x 5' foot pile at no charge. Contractors will not be able to deliver for residents.

Materials Accepted

• Brush and tree trimmings
• Shrubs
• Palm fronds
• Leaves
• Oak trimmings will be accepted July 1 - January 31

Materials Not Accepted

• Lumber, pallets, scrap metal and construction materials or any other types of solid waste
