We are seeking views on our draft artificial intelligence (AI) guidance to encourage its responsible, safe and sustainable use in the energy sector.
We would like views from people and organisations within the energy sector who are either using or looking to use AI.
We also welcome responses from:
This guidance builds on our Call for input on the use of AI in the energy sector, and our high-level strategic approach to AI, both published in April 2024. It sets out good practice for all stakeholders considering procurement or deployment of AI in the energy sector.
Our guidance aims to streamline regulatory burdens on stakeholders. It will act as a roadmap to the existing regulatory framework.
We want to ensure that stakeholders take appropriate and proportionate measures to reduce risks. Your views on this consultation will help inform our approach.
We want to make sure people and organisations within the energy sector use AI in a safe, secure, fair and sustainable way. Our regulatory approach builds on the UK government's AI principles and aims to benefit energy consumers.
Your responses will help us to develop the scope of our regulatory guidance and our approach to current and future risks as well as opportunities offered by AI.
Complete our online survey on Citizen Space. This consultation closes on Friday 7 February 2025.
