‘Just Us’ to perform at Enniskillen Christmas Lights Switch on

'JustUs' is local community group dedicated to providing adults with disabilities opportunities for a regular and fun social life. This Saturday 23 November, the group will showcase their talents and perform at the Enniskillen Christmas light switch on helping to bring festive cheer with Christmas carols and songs.

Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry said,

'I am delighted that 'JustUs' will be performing at the Enniskillen light switch on event. Their commitment to raising awareness and fostering inclusion for people with disabilities is truly commendable. I encourage everyone to come along, join in the festivities and sing along to their collection of festive favourites as they take to the stage at the Diamond just after 4pm'.
Hosted by Fermanagh & Omagh District Council in collaboration with Urban Events, this year's event, themed 'Once Upon a Christmas' promises a magical celebration with festive family activities, including Christmas carols and live music performances.
Entertainment will begin at the Diamond from 1pm where, St Mary's and Ballyreagh Silver Bands followed by Aiden Scott-Brown, will create a welcoming festive atmosphere. Children and families can enjoy face painting from 3pm to 4pm.
Adding extra sparkle to the celebrations, Santa's little helper and compere, Buddy the Elf will warmly welcome everyone to the Diamond. After 'JustUs' perform their Christmas carols, Fermanagh Churches Forum will present a short Christmas Blessing.
Buddy, Santa's energetic Head Elf will invite the audience on a magical journey around the globe with some of our favourite fairytale characters, including Moana from Hawaii, Belle from France, and Anna & Elsa from Norway. Each character will share unique holiday traditions from their cultures and perform their famous songs.

As the clock nears 5pm, the excitement will build as Santa Claus arrives, making his way through the audience to join Buddy on stage. Together, they'll lead everyone in a countdown and the switching on of Enniskillen's Christmas lights at 5:30pm. Following the switch on families will have the opportunity to get a photo with Santa beside the Christmas tree, whilst the entertainment will continue with a performance from Destiny's Elf girl band, bringing an upbeat end to the night with festive music until 5:45pm.
Accessible viewing areas will be available in Enniskillen and Omagh for the Christmas Lights Switch on events, along with convenient car parking and accessible facilities in near by Council venues.
