The Witch Hazel Road Pedestrian Improvement Project will complete a missing sidewalk on
the south side of the road between 38th and 49th courts. This will create a more safe and accessible route to adjacent schools.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2025 with completion in May 2025. Schedules are subject to change.
This project is estimated to cost $1.2 million and is funded by the Major Streets Transportation Improvement Program Opportunity Fund and an Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Safe Routes to Schools grant.
Visit the online open house to learn about the sidewalk design or to ask questions through July 14.
