JEFFERSON CITY, MO - The Missouri Department of Social Services (DSS), in collaboration with Conduent, is thrilled to announce the successful deployment of the new Child Support Citizen portal. Launched in May 2024, the Child Support Citizen Portal is accessible at any time, making significant improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency.

To create an account, customers can go to my.mo.gov/child_support to sign up. They will need to agree to a data disclaimer, fill in their identifying information, and verify their email address and phone number to complete the sign-up process.

The new portal addresses longstanding challenges faced by DSS in delivering positive experiences to customers, whether accessing the state's child support website or contacting the customer call center. By offering a user-friendly interface, the system allows customers to access crucial information about their cases, update household information, communicate with staff via secure email, and view documents electronically.

The implementation of this self-service portal has already led to a reduction in call volume and wait times, significantly improving the overall customer experience. By leveraging newer and better technology and expertise, DSS has improved access, communication, and overall customer satisfaction within the child support program.

"This innovation not only enhances communication between families and the Missouri child support program but also reduces paperwork and processing time, allowing for more timely support to those who need it most," said John Ginwright, Child Support Director. "It represents a significant step forward in supporting the well-being of Missouri's children and empowering families to thrive."

To date, 1,463 customers have enrolled to use the portal, showing the demand for more efficient and accessible child support services. This new portal not only fulfills a critical need for the state of Missouri's child support program, but also strengthens our commitment to better serving the needs of children and families across the state.
