With Christmas right around the corner, it's time to think about what you (and your loved ones) will do to bring up that holiday spirit! If you are in Downtown Orlando, let us help you! The best part? None of these are theme park-related - you're welcome!
Tree Lighting Celebration at Lake Eola
Every year, Lake Eola hosts a tree lighting celebration in honor of their holiday lights and Christmas tree being completed and ready to kick off Christmas and the holidays. There are tons of beautiful lights set up around the lake to see and take photos with holiday performances at the Walt Disney Amphitheater, a holiday market and food trucks!
Catch a show at The Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center
The Nutcracker Ballet will be taking place from December 6 to December 22, so you have plenty of time to enjoy a holiday classic. However, if watching a ballet isn't your thing - you're in luck! They are also featuring tons of other shows this December. The shows vary from youth productions to concerts and Broadway tours! Check out The Grinch, Holiday Heartstrings: A CeCe Teneal Experience, Some Like it Hot, Youth Theater Production of A Christmas Story The Musical and more!

Check Out a Christmas Pop Up Bar
There are a couple of bars downtown that transform into a winter wonderland with specialty drinks for the holidays! The Reindeer Room is one of them. The Reindeer Room is located at 808 E Washington Street, Orlando, Florida 32801 and features a variety of different cocktails like a Snickerdoodle White Russian, Mistletoe Martini and a Feliz Navidad Mule. You can also check out Winter In Wonderland by High T, which features holiday food AND holiday drinks!
Shop Local at The Merry Market
Starting on Friday, December 1, the East side of Lake Eola will feature a Merry Market with local vendors so you can shop small and support the community. Products will range from clothing and candles to jewelry, soap, treats and more! The event will continue to take place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday following their first night on December 1.
What is the best thing to note about all of these events, you ask?
Well, they are all within walking distance of all of our Downtown Orlando Camden apartment locations, so if you live in a Camden community, you don't even need to drive and worry about finding a parking spot to attend all of these events, which I'm sure we can all agree is one of the worst parts of going out. Am I right?
Be sure to check out Camden Lake Eola, Camden Thornton Park, Camden North Quarter and Camden Orange Court while you're experiencing all Downtown Orlando has to offer! We can't wait to meet you!
