Statement From U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown

CLEVELAND, OH - U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown today released the following statement on multiple "threats of violence, affecting schools, city officials and others" in Springfield:

"Bomb threats are now preventing Springfield's kids from going to school and residents from accessing City Hall. Violence is never acceptable and this must stop before someone gets hurt. My office has been in touch with local, state, and federal law enforcement, city and school officials, and community leaders, and we will continue to work with them. Springfield faces real challenges, but the people playing politics are not helping - we need to lower the temperature and work together for the people of Ohio."
