Kahoot! introduces Thai language: get ready to transform learning for all ages!

Today, I'm happy to share that the Kahoot! web platform, as well as the iOS and Android mobile apps, are now available in Thai. Families with kids can also access a Thai-language experience on Kahoot! Kids-our playful learning offering designed for children-while learners of all ages can explore hundreds of localized kahoots in Thai . Discover engaging learning content from Kahoot! Studio and some of our most popular brand partners, like Disney , Star Wars , and Angry Birds .

We work hard to help everyone reach their learning potential with Kahoot!, and making the platform and content available in their native language is a big step toward that goal. With Kahoot! now available in Thai, millions of Thai speakers-including teachers, students, employees, families, and lifelong learners-can enjoy a more personalized and easy-to-use experience.

Over the last year, Kahoot! has seen over 20 million participants (non-unique) from Thailand take part in over 2 million learning sessions. In the same period, professional use on the platform has increased by over 50%. This highlights a growing trend of Thai employers turning to Kahoot! to make training sessions and meetings more interactive, engaging, and effective, fostering collaboration and participation in the workplace

Poramet Pawanna, a Thai educator who shares her English learning resources on Kahoot!, also explained how the localization of Kahoot! will help make engaging learning more accessible for students in Thailand: "For Thai teachers and students to be able to access kahoots in Thai, it is a great opportunity for teachers to make their teaching more interesting and enjoyable." He continued, "Thai students will be able to explore more creative learning styles from kahoot questions in Thai, in which they can find topics that they are interested in themselves besides what teachers provide them in the class."

Among these are multiple other Asian languages, including Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Indonesian. More than one million teachers in APAC are using Kahoot! with their students, as well as over 200 million participants (non-unique) at school, work, and home over the last 12 months. How to get started with Kahoot! in Thai

  1. Update the app to the latest version, or download it on your iOS or Android device if you haven't installed it before.
  2. The app will switch automatically if your device language is set to your local language.
  3. If your device language is English, tap the profile icon within the app.
  4. From your profile page, tap the cog icon to open settings.
  5. Select your language from the Language dropdown

To change the language in the web platform:

  1. Log in to your Kahoot! account
  2. Click on your Profile icon and click on "Choose language"
  3. Click on the dropdown language section and choose Thai
