Mosquito trap sample at Lakewood Park tests positive for West Nile Virus

07/25/2024 -A mosquito trap sample collected at Lakewood Park in Leander has tested positive for West Nile Virus, according to Williamson County and Cities Health District's (WCCHD) Integrated Vector Management program. The positive test indicated in lab results was received on Thursday, July 25. A WCCHD contractor will spray for mosquitos at Lakewood on Friday and Saturday nights (July 26 and 27).
