Meeting with the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing

On August 21, 2024, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Balakrishnan Rajagopal, United Nations Special Rapporteur on the right to adequate housing. It was noted that the Government of Uzbekistan has been actively engaging with international organizations in many dimensions. The parties underscored that 5 UN resolutions initiated by Uzbekistan have been adopted since the beginning of 2024. The readiness of Uzbekistan to continue close collaborations with UN special rapporteurs on all areas was also expressed during the meeting.
