Turner Classic Movies Announces 16th Annual TCM Classic Film Festival Dates for April 24-27, 2025

Festival Theme "Grand Illusions" Explores Fantastic Worlds on Film

New York, NY - October 8, 2024 - Turner Classic Movies' (TCM) signature fan-favorite event, TCM Classic Film Festival, will return to Hollywood, CA on Thursday, April 24 through Sunday, April 27, 2025.  Movie lovers will once again descend upon Hollywood Boulevard for one-of-a-kind programming set within the theme "Grand Illusions: Fantastic Worlds on Film." Films showcased will include enchanted worlds of fantasy and stories beyond belief -- from myths and magical creatures to ghostly encounters and travels through time.  The greatest achievements in cinematic imagination will be on display. 

Leading up to April's annual event, TCM will expand its festival footprint, presenting "TCM Classic Film Festival: New York Pop-Up  x  92NY" in collaboration with The 92nd Street Y, New York. The one-day event will include three different programs, on Saturday, January 25. The full line-up and on-sale information will be announced at a later date. Over four packed days and nights, attendees will be treated to an extensive lineup of great movies, appearances by legendary stars and filmmakers, fascinating presentations and panel discussions, special events, and more. Continuing its longstanding legacy of film preservation, impactful storytelling, and memorable experiences curated for fans, the network has become a cornerstone in the film industry and created a community for film buffs alike. TCM Classic Film Festival attendees rated their 2024 experience as the highest in satisfaction in more than five years noting that they are likely to return and will recommend the festival to others.

During the festival, TCM's award-winning podcast, The Plot Thickens, will host a special event ahead of the debut of its sixth season.     

The festival's official hotel and central gathering point will be The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, which has a longstanding role in movie history and was the site of the first Academy Awards® ceremony. The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel will also offer special rates for festival attendees.
