WASHINGTON-The American Academy of Actuaries recognized outstanding Academy volunteers and emerging actuarial leaders at the opening session of the Academy's 2024 "Envision Tomorrow" annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 15.
Four Academy members were recognized with the Academy's 2024 Outstanding Volunteerism Awards for exceptional volunteer contributions to Academy work during the past year, and nine members were lauded with 2024 Rising Actuary Awards, which recognize emerging actuarial leaders 35 years old and younger or credentialed five years or less. Academy President Lisa Slotznick, MAAA, FCAS, presented the awards recognizing:
