W. Wackerly Street Reconstruction Begins September 23

September 6, 2024 - Beginning Monday, September 23, W. Wackerly Street will be closed to through traffic from Dublin Road to east of Partridge Lane as public infrastructure updates continue on a multi-year footing drain disconnection program (FDDP) through the Concept 5 Sewer Improvement Plan.

During the closure, through traffic on Wackerly will be detoured via Dublin Avenue, N. Saginaw Road, and Perrine Road.

This project will improve the storm sewer system and street network for neighborhoods within the Moorland pumping district area. This work will include road closures and other construction activities similar to any other City road construction project.

While this construction complements the Concept 5 Footing Drain Disconnection Program (FDDP), these activities are not finalized FDDP work. Residents who see this construction work in their area may not be a part of the FDDP program.

Work is anticipated to complete in November 2024.
