It happens more often that the police or intelligence services get hacked.

An example would be malicious Chinese spyware that was found in the computer network of the ministry of Defence last year. It's just that this hasn't happened so often in the Netherlands yet.​

This kind of hacks show that there are ongoing digital conflicts between states. Cyber weapons often bring states very close to the edge of war.​

The level of cyber security in the Netherlands could be higher. Programmes are often made to be user friendly and efficient which makes it difficult to improve security afterwards. ​

We are paying the price for that. I am quite sure that states have invaded other systems as well.
