Broome County Office for Aging Celebrates 50th Anniversary

(BROOME COUNTY, NY) -Join us in celebrating 50 years since the opening of the Office for Aging. For half a century, the Office of Aging has been honored to serve the older adults of Broome County. To mark this milestone, each senior center will host an anniversary celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a special luncheon, time capsule project, 50^th anniversary sport cup, 1974 trivia, entertainment, and more.

Below are the dates each location will hold a celebration:

• Vestal - July 10^th
• Johnson City - July 17^th
• Eastern Broome - July 24^th
• First Ward - July 31^st
• Northern Broome - August 7^th
• Chenango Bridge - August 14^th
• Deposit - August 20^th
• North Shore Towers - August 21^st
• Broome West - August 28^th

Please call the center of your choice for a meal reservation by noon, the day before the anniversary event. Individuals aged 60 or older, and their spouse of any age, may enjoy lunch for a suggested contribution of $4. Those under age 60 may purchase their meal for $5.
